WHAT IS ANTI-VIOLENCE DAY?
Anti-Violence Day is a violence
prevention intervention project. On a designated day, children are
asked to turn in their toy guns for a certificate and a reward. This
will be done through education and raising awareness among children and
parents about the hazards of guns and of toy guns. The collected
weapons then will be used by the children themselves, to create work of
art. (This is not a toy gun exchange, it is: Say No to Toy Guns/Toy
Weapons & is aiming to prevent violence).
