Pir-e-Pars Banu
Pir-e-Pars Banu is one
of the Zoroastrian shrines of Yazd. The Zoroastrians devoted to the
God of Light. During the Islamic conquest in the 7th century, the
last believers in the Zoroastrian faith fled to india and continued to
practice their religion. They are known as "Parsees". The others
fled to the mountains around Yazd which then formed an impregnable refuge.
