Turkeman of Gorgan
Turkeman first arrived
in Persia in the 11th century, during the great Oghuz migration from Central
Asia. Today, Turkeman live in north eastern part of Iran and in Turkmenistan.
The Atrek river separates Turkmenistan from the north east of Iran.
