General view of Persepolis
The many buildings which
make up Persepolis are on a man made terrace about 300 meters long and
450 meters wide, between 10 and 20 meters above the ground-level.
A monumental double staircase leads to the terrace.
Construction of Persepolise
was orderd by Darius the Great in 514 B.C.
